some times it takes longer. I used warmer water last time and the seeds came out in 24 hrs.

i have known that for years that if you poke the seed after it been in water about 24hrs, it sinks. if the seed sink immediately, theres something wrong with the seed.

i just started germinating seeds two days ago and came across this yesterday. super hyped that your doing it. i really need the help. if its a male how soon are you going know? ive heard its hard to tell till flowering?
I disagree I have had quicker and better luck with success rate using water glass. Plus paper towels are not the best they have bleach and other chemicals within, cheesecloth would be optimal.

Not true. Seeds that sink are the most viable. They are the best ones. Also it isn’t necessary to use a whole cup of water. Just enough to cover the seed is all you need. I have done this for years. Overnight water soak so the water can permeate the shell then overnight in wet paper towel. Just did 22 seeds this way, some over two years old, and all 22 popped. Another trick is to put a piece of sandpaper in a matchbox and shake it around to scratch the surface if the shells to let water in quick
I soak for 8 hours then into paper towels wonce recital appears
Water germination never works for me =[ i put it down to our cold weather. But sayin that ive had 100% success rate when i just plant seeds directly into soil. Fingers crossed for this one G420G. P&P

ma frend i asure you wet paper towles are 50% faster – put a 10wats heating matt under it – and over that a normal towel – so the matt heats the towel !
Put the seed between 2 wet paper towels, put that between 2 plates and those plates on the towel above the heating matt !
ahhhhh yeah, popd within 24 hrs… thats awesome, especially for in glass water. ill b cont. to water thru out. Peace & Love brother

And Dave Keane I usually give them a week or atleast a few days before I start mine on a real light neut solution for seedlings, but with whatever nuets u have if ur unsure go to ur nearest grow shop and ask for a feed chart will advise u from start to finish 🙂 hope that helps u mate happy growing 🙂

Dave Keane yeh it is mate use a cool/blue Cfl for veg and a warm/red for flower and for watts if I were using cfl id use a 150watt for veg then on flower step up to a 250watt or somthing higher to get better quality buds 🙂 im running on 2x600watt hps and getting pukka without fail everytime 😀 but for beginers like urself cfls are perfect! Peace
first: sorry for my bad english. 2: can i grow my passion #1 seeds on my balcony if its sunny and put them in if its cold until theure 20cm and them put them outside to my outdoor spot?
