This guy is right, police in Australia do it all the time. I even know some1 who got caught growing and got a drug rehab program instead of fines or time because he got his lawyer to argue that unless the cannabis was not weighed properly without the stems and leaves and moisture they could not prove how much cannabis he was in possession of. And since the plants were weighed and destroyed immediately they were not able to re-weigh so he got off with the same as possessing less than 28 grams.

Not only do they use wet weight…but they also weigh the stalk, sticks, fan leaves and possibly the root ball then calculate the cost of the grow based on the street value of a gram

Was thinking some more about this and just wanted to mention that I believe your calculation is what most people use and I appreciate you sharing with others. My question is about whether this calculation expresses cost well? E.g. plants grown in soil will take longer or are smaller. Certainly veg time and wattage is a significant factor in cost as well. T5 vs Metal Halide…
Quality is important, and not simply quantity. There are many factors to consider.
