You know what I just realized? Chris D’elia’s style of stand up is a perfect replication of social laughter. I mean, comedians are funny sure, but every single person reading this comment knows that the hardest they ever laughed in their life was not a movie or a stand up show it was hanging out with a group of friends making terrible immature jokes off the top of our heads and cracking ourselves up. Chris has managed to do this from on top of a stage. It’s actually amazing.

Funny thing when i first heard that song on the radio it was after a whole bunch of live freestyle rappers. So i thought this guy saying “started from the bottom now we’re here” over and over just was stalling. I thought he was choking. lol. I’m thinking what artist just repeats the same thing over and over and over? So i’m like oh shit this guy can’t think of any words to say. Started from the bottom now we’re here. Over and over. Yea because Chris is naturally hilarious and he doesn’t write jokes. Which means he just goes with what he naturally thinks is funny and then riffs on stage. That’s why he’s laughing because he’s just working the bits out as they go and realizes it’s funny when it happens. Very few guys are funny enough off the top of their heads to pull this off

That is seriously my favorite part about him and his stand up. He laughs at his own jokes and it really pulls you in. Its not just a routine. Its a conversation too. I think those are the best kinds of comedians.
