Drainage is the key as you stated, the roots just dont like to be drenched,
then your plants make water roots that love to be in water, so I use smart
pots for the top root ball because they allow the roots to get thicker and
thicker without bunching, then under then pot the water roots get organic
auquaponic water as much as it wants, smart pot has 50% GROWSTONE with my
own type of super soil based on what may by missing from auquaponics system
which when matured not much. I have awesome results, most of the over
watering people have is because the have very pore drainage, I also use
azomite rock dust in my soil mixture. makes a big difference
. I also use composting worms in my pots, they manage your root system by
removing rotting roots which turns them back into nutrient, as well as
beneficial enzymes. All 100% organic.
Great video bro well said……im in week 1 of flower and my Bubba Og has
not had one drop of liquid fertlizer and they are healthy and beautiful
every grower who don’t already know this should watch this video. I have
given them Great white but that’s all…………………….peace bro
I find after your plant gets to a certain size it is literally impossible
to over water. Especially if its root ball is filling most of the container
or bucket. Perlite is key too of course but no one does something so stupid
to just throw a bunch of heavy peatmoss in a bucket and over water you will
get mud that just won’t dry out. If you have proper air/wind flow in your
grow space and use fairly high wattage HID bulbs that itself will dry out
anything the plant doesn’t suck up very quickly espeacially in smaller
spaces. The only time I find it absolutely important that you don’t
overwater is when the plant doesn’t have a substantial root mass ie
(seedlings and usually the first half to three quarters of the vegetative
state)
you are!
give me all the hell you want but you are over watering.
it’s just I dont think your medium will dry out that fast.
in nature the plant will have times of drout it is natural and the plants
need this. dry time. the plant you pointed out looks over watered to me.
not under watered.
just my worthless opinion.
