Bordersley Green has had a reputation for being a rough area for at least forty years.
The plus point is that GKN used to have a superb warehouse there where one could buy all kinds of nuts and bolts going from spectacle hinge sizes to JCB swivel pin sizes. All kinds of metals and finishes were also available e.g. black, bright, zinc, cadmium and stainless. Sometimes it can be very handy having places like that nearby as these days Engineering Supplies stockists can be thin on the ground.
