Medical marijuana of course. I’m a law abiding citizen. I can grow 6 mature or 12 immature plants(i don’t know what this means). I have to knowledge of growing and was wondering…How many plants could I grow in a space 4-5ft tall, 1-2feet deep, and 3-4 feet wide. whats the best way to grow like this?

That means you can have 6 plants ready to be harvested and 12 plants in vegetation state and im pretty sure depending on what state your in you can also have up to a pound of marijuana cut cured and ready to be smoked. I would say do a grow box, you can make one out of anything from a old hollowed out computer tower to a refrigerator.

I have to address the other persons answers. I don’t mean any disrespect however this is a common mistake make by many who do their best to stay legal. It DOES NOT mean you can have 6 ready to be harvested and 12 that aren’t. It’s either/or not ‘and’ which is key. Bottom-line it’s a very gray area, however a fail-safe is stick to 6 plants at all times.
You could probably fit about 15 plants in that space if you wanted to, however six would be a nice comfortable number. I would do a sea of green (SOG) style grow which focuses on smaller plants but higher quality bud, and if grown right you can produce 6-10 ounces off the grow.
Grow them to about 12-18 inches, then flip to the flower cycle which will finish at around 2 to 2 1/2 feet giving you around 0.5 – 2 ounces per plant.

Well, depending on how much you are willing to spend on equipment to keep your little area from catching fire and such, you may want to try something like 1 to 3 plants and see how it goes.
I was thinking of growing in my house also, but the only issue is that if you’re using something like a closet, you may want to remember that you are going to need to get fresh air in there some how.
If you manage to grow more in there more power to you. I’d love to know how it turns out.
