This is a must but alot of people are against it and I beleive they suffer
smaller yields. They can think whatever they want but the plants can bang
out fan leaves like it aint no thang if you remove them. Theres always more
leaves that will grow to take their place. Some strains I have actually
tossed of my keeper list just for the sheer fact they create way too many
big fan leaves. I would pluck them like crazy and the next day or two I had
to defoliate big time again and this process went all the way through
flowering. After a plant gets a certain size and the root system is
developped it will not stunt the growth of the buds/plant by enlarging
other fan leaves to take the place of the old ones. I’ve seen leaves grow 2
inches wider overnight. Every leaf on the plant except the ones in the buds
have the potential to grow into big solar panels.
