I just put my bud in an empty Altoids can. You know those cute round ones for the sour Altoids? It works just fine and it doesn’t dry up, but if you’re going to store it for a long time, I would suggest an air-tight glass jar used for spices. I believe spice jars are made so that the contents don’t dry up or lose their flavor after being stored for long periods of time.
Ideally, the best way to store cannabis is in air-tight glass jars, with the oxygen replaced with CO2, and in the freezer.
The reasons are:
1) the static electrical issues around plastic baggies, that’s why you see baggies get “dirty” with cannabis resin, but you can’t get that resin off, the baggie is slightly electrically charged and steals them, basically. Long term storage in baggies isn’t the best.
2) Oxygen exposure slowly degrades THC over time, so if you replace the oxygen in your storage medium with CO2 (or nitrogen or something), you’ll minimize passive degradation.
3) Light exposure also slowly degrades THC, so a dark place is “better”
Vacuum sealing would be OK, but I’d recommend doing that in a glass jar and not a plastic bag for the reasons given above, and CO2 may be easier to do than vacuum seal in a jar. CO2 is heavier than air, and so will remain in the jar. Put the jar on the counter, put in your cannabis (unbusted, in trimmed bud form), drop in some dry-ice and let it all sublimate (“evaporate” away). Then put the lid on the jar and put into the freezer (or other cold, dark place).

Hope this helps.
