Just keep in mind the government does grow and sell it anyways. Remember Reagan and the Iran/Contra scandal, while his wife is telling us to just say no? We are also guarding the biggest opium belt in the world as we speak.
How many kids have parents or older siblings who drink, and simply have it at the house?
They won’t legalize it because the government can’t pattern it , and everyone would grow there own green and the government wouldn’t be able to add tax to it.
Think about this for a minute people. How many alcoholics do you know that beat their kids, have nothing to eat, unhealthy and died as a result? Now how many pot smokers are like this? They’re too lazy to beat their kids and they’re going to get the munchies. This is a fact, isn’t it? If it’s because it’s bad for our health, how do you explain cigarettes, alcohol, aspartame and fluoride being legal?
It sounds like you were self-medicating. Weed isn’t exactly a great ‘ignore reality’ type of drug. There are far worse, or better, depending on your point of view, lol. .. Anyway, my point is that you should have been getting help and that if it wasn’t weed I’m sure you would have found another way. I spent a lot of my youth ignoring reality by burying my nose in novels, should we make reading illegal too?

People who have kids should be on the front line of this legalization war. Right now, their kids can get it anytime they want. Illegal drug dealers DO NOT check IDs. They purposely sell to underage kids. Drug dealers do not want it legalized because it puts them out of business. People with kids should on the opposite side of the dealers. But they are not. That is how grossly uninformed and ignorant the public is.
The last guy you questionned seems like the future if pot heads everywhere. I am the fence on this issue as there is still no discussion about the more potent pot available today (bigger buzz) that it was 20-30 years ago.

Thant’s actually not true. Kids can get pot easier than anything else with it being illegal. Thats why ending the prohibition would be better because it would stop the black market. If someone leaves a bag of weed out and there kid takes it, it’s the same as if there per prescription pills in the medicine cabinet and their kid takes them.

Rather it should be about getting people the help the need to deal with the EMOTIONAL issues that led them to pot in the first place and not throw them in jail for using.
