Hmmm, can’t say honestly it sounds like you have all the stars in line.. If I were you I’d possibly just stay with shatter like qwer ty mentioned, or it could be that you might need to raise the temp up a bit. Sometimes I’ve had to use oil temps up to 130f to get it to honeycomb. Is it shatter, or sap like shatter as of now?

nice piece! i have the same set up as you and i am having trouble getting my stuff to wax up. Been purging for 15hrs my tahoe og and it still looks like shatter. My oil temp is 120 and have 5c 2 stage vac with a vac it pro at full vac. any suggestions? last 3 times i tried making oil its been like this but the first time i ever tried i got it to wax up nice like yours. Thanks for all your vids!

its possible that his skillet is not working properly, I have a friend who started making honeycomb after he seen the results I was getting, his skillet fluxuated too much and it would either turn into sap or turn into shatter, never honeycomb. he bought a new skillet that barely fluxuates at all and now hes combin. hope this helps @blondebarbie419 , follow me on instagram and see what ive been making, thanks!

No one said there is anything wrong with shatter, Only that they didn’t want shatter. They wanted to make Honey Comb. Like any person who is trying to do something and fails, they would like to know why?
You can, it originally came with a flower bowl but I’ll never use it for that. I like to keep my oil rigs flower free cause it messes up the flavor and dirties it up in a different way.

I’ve only hit the Ion Matrix, so I cannot really give a solid suggestion. What I can say is that I absolutely love my Ion Matrix bubbler and feel it’s about perfect for home dabs. Some may say it’s a bit too much percolation, but I like it and still can taste my oil well. Doesn’t oil up as fast as other rigs I have. I would do plan on getting the 65mm stemless stereo matrix bubbler though in the future, they were just sold out at the time.

Use the parchment paper to form your patty. It will favor one side, so stick it and then pull one side away kind of quickly and it’ll stay stuck to the other side (provided your oil isn’t super tacky and/or hot). This works best with cooled oil. You may need to put it into the fridge for a QUICK bit just to cold it up a bit to form. Don’t leave it in long or moisture will get into it. Hope this helps.
