  1. BJ says:

    codeine is not medicinal marijuana
the term for medical marijuana is cannibus, used in galucoma and cancer patients as far as i know

No weed is weed – codeine is codeine, – codeine is a pain medication from the doctor- marijuana is a narcotic from the dope man – try the web site pass a drug test.com

  3. Cliff Schaffer says:

Codeine is an opiate. It is derived from the opium poppy plant – like morphine and heroin.

Marijuana comes from the cannabis family — an entirely different group of plants with an entirely different set of chemicals in them.

Contrary to what others have said, marijuana is NOT a narcotic. Narcotics are drugs that induce sleep — such as the products of the opium poppy. Codeine is a “narcotic.” Marijuana is better described as a tranquilizer. The term “narcotic” is often used loosely to mean any drug by people who are not familiar with the topic.

If you want further information on the subject, I suggest the world’s largest online library of drug policy at If you are new to the subject and want a good general background in all the drugs, I suggest the Consumers Union Report on Licit and Illicit Drugs at
