There already is a pill form of marijuana. It’s called Marinol. That’s one
reason why pharmaceutical companies wouldn’t want weed legal.

Disabled w/spine injury. Taking morphine and certainly spending $1k/month
is normal for people w/chronic pain. I would love for Anthem to pay 80%.

Fancy putting CEOs and shareholders between the People and their
    healthcare!?
What a backward and exploitative system the US has created.

and on the Far Right, (aptly seated I must say), is a very uninformed,
still wet behind the ears, future Republican kiss-ass. Glasses dude, you
come back some day when you have one or more health problems that can’t be
treated with the poison pharma stuffs us with, but can be treated with an
amazing plant made to order, but you can’t “legally” have or grow to heal
yourself. Then you can listen to another yabbo like yourself spew party
    dialogue from your eating orifice.

Medicinal Marijuana doesn’t cure anything (as with everything “medicinal”).
A raw whole foods diet gives you your life back.

The American people don’t need to be “persuaded” by celebrities, polls show
8 out of 10 Americans support legalization of medical marijuana.

The problem is that Government representatives aren’t listening. What
needs to happen immediately is that the DEA must reschedule marijuana from
schedule 1 (having no medicinal value) to a schedule 3 substance. This
would be a compromise, as well as being a gesture toward recreational
    legalisation.

Yet we already know that the DEA’s own official policy and mission
    statement prohibit this action.

According to Title VII Office of National Drug Control Policy
    Reauthorization Act of 1998: H11225:

    Responsibilities. –The Director– […]

    (12) shall ensure that no Federal funds appropriated to the Office of
National Drug Control Policy shall be expended for any study or contract
relating to the legalization (for a medical use or any other use) of a
substance listed in schedule I of section 202 of the Controlled Substances
Act (21 U.S.C. 812) and take such actions as necessary to oppose any
attempt to legalize the use of a substance (in any form) that–

is listed in schedule I of section 202 of the Controlled Substances Act (21
    U.S.C. 812); and
has not been approved for use for medical purposes by the Food and Drug
    Administration;

The problem is that obamacare was the biggest gift anyone ever gave the
    insurance industry.

The LIBERAL approach would be to lock up mobsters running protection
rackets, and provide single-payer health insurance.

I wish they would stop all this crap about cannabis being for pain relief.
It does not effect pain and in some cases can make the pain worse because
it raises anxiety levels. As for smoking anything when you have a chronic
condition – that’s the dumbest thing you can do.
Cannabis is beneficial for cancer patients because it increases their
    appetite and that’s about it.

Let the FDA take a look. Regulate like vitamins. Not harm no fowl.
Here’s your warning in readable English, now have at it. No monopoly
please. If there’s a problem and the market can’t correct, then adjust the
    regulation.

This argument of saying insurance companies won’t pay for MM because if is
quasi legal is bogus. It is because they are cheap and don’t care about
    patients wellbeing.
