I’ve never been particularly fond of the Blue Widow plants I’ve grown from
seed. I got them for free in a seed order once, and decided to grow them.
The buds were covered in trichomes and smelled amazing, just like yours,
but I felt like the yield and structure just couldn’t compare with any of
the other strains I’ve grown, and also I felt like the potency just wasn’t
there compared to most modern strains. Very mellow buzz.
My Blue Widow also had leaves that turned dark like the plant you have in
the back, especially the leaves directly under the light, and I felt that
the buds really seemed to stop fattening up properly once the attached
leaves turned dark. I was able to pull the top purple leaves and get light
to some green leaves underneath (mine had green leaves under the purple
ones), and getting light to the green leaves seemed to help bud fatten up,
but it looks like your plant has purple leaves almost all the way through
so I’m not sure if that would work for you.
In any case, you’ll definitely love the smell/taste of the Blue Widow. Hope
you find a cut that works for you! When you find the right phenotype for a
strain, it’s like magic!
Were the blue widow seeds femenized or regs? I love bubba and chem, 2 of my
favorite strains. I got a OG Bubba in week 4 of flower in a 4×3 scrog…and
I also got the Em Dog from HSO to take the place of my old chem dawg I used
to run…check it out! Everything looks healthy! Stay hy!

from what i hear the blue widow is usually a pretty good yielder. how high
is the light above the widow? it may be a problem of it not getting enough
direct light or it could be the pheno like you said. i just moved my light
down a bit as my huge amnesia haze is really starting to pack on some
SERIOUS bulk (if you guys don’t use the General Hydroponics Liquid Kool
Bloom bulking agent give it a try).I used to only use 3 part organic nutes
and cal mag and im trying the boosters and I’m telling you guys it will
increase your yield tremendously depending on strain ofcourse.
