Um, actually, they ARE, that’s the problem. They’re trying to force women to submit to invasive and unnecessary medical procedures in order to obtain an abortion. They’re only doing it to try and shame women for seeking abortions.

The question isn’t whether a Zygote is alive, sperm in alive, mucus is alive, the underlying question is whether a Zygote constitutes a person. It doesn’t.

The problem isn’t “life”. It’s that no one, not even a fetus, has the right to use someone’s body without their consent. The “right to life” doesn’t exist. The right to bodily autonomy does, and is already recognized by law in our country.

With cancer your life is at stake. Why not consent? Whether you generally want a finger in your butt isn’t necessarily relevant. Transvaginal probing on the other hand is a physically invasive scare tactic to emotionally manipulate women into keeping their unborn child. On top of it being unnecessary in most cases for health reasons, imagine a large carrot going all the way into your ass instead of a finger. Would you consent to that if the doctor could check you instead with ultrasound?

If I ever get prostate cancer and need treatment (which is my right living where I live), the doctor has to check for cancer, meaning shoving a finger up my ass. If I dont agree to it, I think they might insist that in order to check my cancer, they must shove that finger up there. If I end up agreeing because I want the treatment, was I raped?
