Tim Moen is a firefighter, paramedic, business owner, filmmaker, volunteer
and politician from Canada. He is the leader of the Libertarian Party of
Canada.
As an electrician for +30 years I would agree that “code violations” are
everywhere. When I come across home reno electrical DIY, there is usually
some code violation one could find. Think of the billions of dollars worth
of electrical goods flowing out of the Rona and Home Hardware type stores
that are installed by the homeowner. The quality of electrical
installations can only rise if homeowners can ask for advice or hire a pro
without fear of being criminalized
