My neighbors and I have 2 small plants growing outdoors which are only 2-4 weeks old. But we don’t know what kind of marijuana they are and we are not going to smoke them because they are still babies 8(
Please no rude answers.
you can only guess if you don’t know for sure. a general rule of thumb is if they are short and stocky they are indica dominant, if they shoot up tall they’re sativa dominant. if they’re somewhere in the middle it’s a hybrid of some sort.
If you have a trained nose for different kinds of weed, you can try to identify it by smell. Rub the main stem gently with 2 fingers to get some of the oil on you. take a good whiff and take a guess at what it is. never rub the flowers, you’ll ruin the trichomes.
you’ll be able to tell,or get a general idea, but the hairs and how crystalized the buds are. Also, forgetting about what “specialty strain” it is, indicas grow fat and bushy while sativas grow tall and lanky.
Indica- body high, pain relief, sedative. . the ‘stoned’ feeling
sativa- head high, stimulative. . the ‘high’ feeling
Exactly what A-Net said. But, short of running lab tests on genetics, You’ll have to wait until they start to really flower and mature to get the best idea of what strain it is. If it’s stress, don’t even smoke it…Sell it or eat it. You’ll kill your lungs with that crap. You’ll know stress when you see it: Bobby Brown, Mexican Ditch Weed, etc. But I’d like to correct you really quickly… Kush is an indica-dominant strain of marijuana that, like “Chronic,” both are often misused and wrongly applied to any higher grade cannabis. Anyway, the smell, the amount of trichomes, appearance, taste of smoke, etc. will all help you in your quest. Good Luck & Happy Tokin’
