I was more so referring to the fact that under no circumstances can pre-pubescent children consent to sex as pre-pube kids haven’t undergone the biological changes to either get pregnant or to get someone pregnant nor have they been properly sex educated. In my opinion, people shouldn’t have sex until they’re either married, engaged, or willing to accept the responsibilities of caring for a child and raising a family. But as you said, that’s pretty unrealistic lol.
Teenagers aren’t bound by their contracts. Thus, things like leases and car insurance policies and health insurance policies and a lot of other things become unenforceable in their case. Meaning minors cannot legally survive alone in the world. They are, legally, dependents.
I’m not talking about maturity levels or psychological development. I don’t really care about those things.
An immature person who has reached adulthood isn’t legally restrained in that manner.

Even if homosexuality was a mental illness, it cannot be cured. I don’t think that pedophilia or zoophilia can be cured either. People can control, or even suppress, their urges. They don’t have to behave according to their attractions. However, someone can’t just stop being attracted to some segment of the population. I don’t like however that some progressive psychologists are trying to add hebephilia or ephebophilia to the DSM, which are both no more pathological than homosexuality.
Where teenagers are those less than 18 years of age, of course. Once you hit 18 you’ve largely reached adulthood by law, except for alcohol consumption.
There’s a big difference between being subject to the whims of your parent or guardian because you’re a loser and being subject to the whims of your parent or guardian because the law compels you to be by restricting your ability to live independently.
I’m not treating them like babies. I’m treating them as minors who need to be protected from horrible parents and the potential brainwashing centers those parents would send them to against their will.

I will agree there. For example, teens can’t be “emancipated” until they turn 18. 18 is the standard in most civil matters, even though some states might define “adulthood” differently.
Now, if we can change faggots. Why not try the same thing on people receiving state and government assistants. That supporting yourself is a good thing. 18 is arbitrary. If you really want to put a number on “adulthood” it would actually be closer to 25 when the brain stops developing. Also, only 14 states allow gambling at 18 (in casinos) and even a few states don’t let 18-year-olds buy cigarettes or work in an establishment that permits smoking. When I turned 18, it was really just another birthday for me. I mind as well have turned 17 again.

It’s the argument made for medicinal marijuana. It improves patient health and the government has no business stepping into the doctor/patient relationship. The opposing side says “No, it’s poison.”
And where the medicinal marijuana advocates are correct in their case, and can provide evidence of patient improvement, in this case what’s being prescribed really IS poison, and there’s no evidence it ever helped anyone.
