How long do people go to prison when they are caught growing like 50 – 100 marijuana plants?

Depends on the State.
The more plants the more likelihood of getting charged with ” Intent to Sell” which can = prison.
1000 + kilos = 10 to life
50 – 1000 kilos = 5 to 40
under 50 kilos = 1 to 5
